,We want to remind you that TONIGHT, April 3, 6pm, at Somerville City Hall, in the Aldermanic Chambers, the Board of Aldermen will be hearing public comment regarding the proposed zoning overhaul that has been proposed.Please come and speak at this vital public hearing!

We support #ZoningReform!

However, we feel that the proposed zoning does not go far enough.

• The new NR district leaves our iconic and beloved 3 deckers as non-conforming structures. #legalize3deckers!

• The permitting process for adding a unit to a building will require a special permit, while building a new building of the same number of units would not. Let’s be consistent!

• Let’s increase the density around our future Green Line Stations. We need density to support transit, fight climate change, and ease the housing crunch!

We hope you’ll come tonight and speak in support of a smart, walkable, bike-friendly, transit-rich, and affordable Somerville, where our laws match our needs, and we can update them as our needs change.
