Key Milestones for 299 Broadway, Union Square, GLX
Following zoning approval, the sale of the property at
has fully closed. That means that the development of hundreds of new homes, plus retail and civic space, is truly underway. Construction is projected to begin in 2024. Special thanks to Mayor Ballantyne and Councilors Wilson and Clingan, who have put in a great deal of effort to support it.
Meanwhile, the
, meaning the general design and goals are in place. They include increasing access to the T station, a dramatic increase in open space and trees, and pedestrian priority throughout the area.
