It's going to be a busy couple weeks in Somerville! Here are some civic engagement events you won't want to miss, in chronological order starting with one right this very moment!

Early Voting

Going to be busy on the 6th? Polls are open at City Hall every day from now until November 2! Here are the details.

Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting

On the agenda tonight is a proposal to convert a 1-family home on Fiske Avenue into a 2-family home. If you'd like to speak in support of a totally normal small project, drop by!Tonight! Wednesday October 24 at 6:00 p.m. at the at the East Somerville Community School Auditorium, 50 Cross Street, Somerville.

Public Comment on Zoning Proposal

This is your opportunity to tell city what you think about the latest version of the zoning plan. Our opinion: It's an upgrade over the current law, but it could do more, especially with respect to height in Davis Square, promoting transit-oriented development, and allowing triple-deckers and in-law apartments.Tuesday, October 30 at 6:00 p.m. at the East Somerville Community School Auditorium, 50 Cross Street, Somerville.

Central Hill Campus Plan

The city has three potential plans for the Central Hill campus-- that's City Hall, Somerville High, and the Somerville Public Library central branch. They all offer a variety of trade-offs between bike lanes, accessibility, parking, tree preservation, and public space.Thursday, November 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Somerville High School cafeteria, 81 Highland Avenue, Somerville.
